West Clandon Neighbourhood Plan begins the final steps to approval

Sep 20, 2021 | News

The West Clandon Neigbhourhood Plan, which planners would legally have to consider when making planning decisions, has now been presented to Guildford Borough Council for independent examination. In the coming weeks an independent examiner will examine the document and visit West Clandon in order to produce a final report for fact checking by the Parish Council. Please click here to read the letter from the examiner.

The West Clandon Neighbourhood Plan will enable us to:

  • have a greater say over planning decisions taken on developments within the parish boundaries;
  • help us define the relationship we want between the Village of West Clandon and the likely developments at Gosden Hill Farm, most of which will be within the Parish Boundary;
  • ensure we retain a greater proportion of the Community Infrastructure Levy developers will pay to fund local amenities.

The final step in the process will be approval, by local referendum, of  West Clandon residents. Check back here for updates and the date for the referendum.
